11 - 01 - 2013 Tainted treats found in State College by police
[CDT] - State College police say they found 3 homemade cereal bars laced with marijuana on a sidewalk downtown on Halloween morning. As children were heading out for Trick-or-Treat festivities within a few hours across the area, police renewed their call for parents to check the candy and snacks brought home by their children. Police said a resident found the questionable treats early yesterday in a plastic sandwich bag on the sidewalk in the 200 block of East College Avenue. Inside the baggie were 3 homemade cereal bars wrapped in tin foil. The bars were like rice crispy treats, but were made from other cereals. The bars tested positive for the presence of marijuana, according to officers. Police said there are no suspects in the case.
