11 - 06 - 2013 Mifflin Co. voters pick new President Judge
[LS] - With only a 35% voter turnout, those voters chose the Republican Assistant District Attorney Dave Barron over the 20-yr. veteran incumbent, President Judge Timothy Searer in yesterday's elections. Barron unseated Searer in the race for Judge of the Mifflin Co. Court of Common Pleas by a vote of 4,609 to 3,931. Barring a special election to replace recently retired Judge Rick Williams, Barron will be the only full-time judge for Mifflin Co. for at least the next 2 years. Barron thanked Searer for his many years of dedicated service and for conducting a spirited campaign.
