11 - 08 - 2013 Gun owner rights sparked a livey debate with commissioners
[LS] - Tea Party Patriots from Mifflin Co. got into a rather passionate discussion with the County Commissioners last night during the monthly business meeting. At issue was gun owners rights & the threat of government seisure of the citizens' firearms. The group was asking the county to adopt a resolution that supports the rights of the county's gun ownership. The commissioners chose not to grant the resolution with commissioner Kevin Kodish saying, "I just think the vehicle's wrong. I'll gladly sign a petition. I support the right to bear arms. Your asking us to sign a resolution is the wrong vehicle. Resolutions are for county business."
