11 - 12 - 2013 Centre Hall business crippled by Sunday night fire
[CDT] - Life returned back to Scott Burkâs business on Monday as heavy equipment rumbled & employees toiled across the property. Within the commotion was the twisted, burned-out shell of Scottâs Landscaping. Hot spots within the building still were smoking just hours after it was ravaged by flames Sunday night. Firefighters had to return to the property along US Rt. 322 twice by yesterday evening. Centre Hall Fire Chief Harry Hockenberry said crews dealt with 2 minor fires when hotspots rekindled. Hockenberry said an investigation into the blaze is ongoing, and a state police fire marshal is expected at the scene today. He could not provide additional details about how the fire might have started, but said it does not appear to be suspicious.
