11 - 20 - 2013 Girl life-flighted to Danville after being hit by vehicle
[LS] - Mifflin Co. Regional Police reported a 14-y/o girl was struck by a vehicle yesterday as she was attempting to cross East Freedom Ave. in Burnham. The girl was not identified by police however The Lewistown Sentinel was told the girl was Lilly Walters, of Burnham who quickly was trying to cross the road to avoid an eastbound vehicle when she was hit by a westbound vehicle in the opposing lane. Witnesses at the scene all say that it appeared the girl never saw the other vehicle. She was transported from the scene by Fame EMS and then Life Flighted to Geisinger Medical Center. A nursing supervisor at the hospital said she is listed in fair condition.
