11 - 22 - 2013 Benninghoff has his gas tax bill passed by state senate
[LS] - Rep. Kerry Benninghoff voted for a bill that was passed by the Senate on Wednesday, approved yesterday by the state House with bipartisan support and would provide enhanced funding to repair roads and bridges across Pennsylvania. The House Bill would eliminate the stateâs tax on gasoline that is currently applied at the pump. The bill would lift a cap on a tax charged to oil companies and applied to the wholesale price of gasoline. The removal of the cap would result in a 9-cent difference. Benninghoff was at the Mifflin-Juniata Career and Technology Center yesterday speaking to seniors about building todayâs work force and about the issues todayâs working world must face.
