11 - 26 - 2013 New Berlin woman charged with brandishing weapon at husband
[DI] - A New Berlin woman has been charged after state police say she brandished a handgun and directed it toward her husband over the weekend in a domestic dispute at the couple’s home. Police say 32-y/o Tara Lloyd, is accused of pulling a .380 Taurus automatic handgun from her jacket pocket and pointing the gun in the direction of her 31-y/o husband, Zach Lloyd, who was inside the couples’ home. Milton state police were dispatched to the Lloyd residence, after Zach called police when he left the home because he was involved in a domestic violence incident. Tara was attempting to enter a garage from an interior door and when she discovered the door was locked, she kicked it and cursed at her husband while pulling the handgun from her jacket. Tara then “racked a round in the chamber,” pointing it in the direction of her husband before he ran out of the home to a near by cemetery and called police. Police arrived at the home and spoke with Tara before arresting her and charging her with 2 misdemeanors of simple assault and terroristic threats with the intent to terrorize.
