12 - 19 - 2013 Change order questions arise at Midd-West school board
[DI] - Persistent water problems in the newly renovated Middleburg Elementary School have drawn the attention of the Midd-West school board. At Mondayâs public meeting, a director questioned why a $4,672 change order to repair and replace storm pipe clamps took so long to be approved. Board President had no explanation since Wesley Knapp was serving as superintendent when the problem arose months ago and had authority to approve all change orders under $25,000. The solicitor said that water problems had plagued the elementary school during the renovations but he couldnât explain why the repair wasnât approved in July when the contractor was told to replace the clamps.
