02 - 04 - 2014 Yes, we have no bananas: Truck overturns on US 322
[LS] - Afternoon commuters looking to travel west on US 322 had to funnel through side streets yesterday afternoon. For about 4 hours, crews worked to upright a banana truck that had slid through the icy slush & rolled over into both lanes of travel. Mifflin Co. Regional Police reported that around 1:40pm the tractor-trailer lost control & crashed into the guard rail, damaging almost 350 ft., before it stopped. At one point, crews had to close the eastbound lane during the clean up process. Traffic was allowed back into the westbound lanes by 5:45pm yesterday afternoon.
