02 - 11 - 2014 Rockview & Lewistown State Police takes over Gricar case
[CDT] - Yesterday in a report issued by the PA State police, they announced that they will take over the investigation into the 2005 disappearance of former Centre County District Attorney Ray Gricar. The major case squad made up of investigators from the Rockview and Lewistown barracks will head up the case into Gricar, who was last seen April 15, 2005, and was reported missing that night. Gricar was declared legally dead in 2011. Trooper Jeff Petucci said the goal is simply to look at the investigation from a fresh perspective and review previously acquired information. Gricarâs nephew Tony Gricar said his family was made aware of the change in investigators late last week but doesnât know why it happened. Ray Gricarâs Mini Cooper was found in Lewisburg the day after he was reported missing, and his computer was recovered from the Susquehanna River three months later.
