02 - 14 - 2014 Juniata Co. Courthouse offices shuttered by winter weather
[LS] - With the Nor'Easter that pulled its punch in the Juniata Valley yesterday, not only schools closed down but so did one county. Government offices for Juniata Co. remained closed yesterday at the courthouse with most folks staying off the roads & trying to cope with the 11 inches of white stuff. In spite of the dangerous road conditions, Juniata Co. emergency dispatchers only reported a couple of accidents & also reported that there were 3 incidents of tractor-trailers that had jack-knifed on the roads. The amount of snow the region received can be traced back to the mid-1990s.
