03 - 21 - 2014 Man accused of stabbing Union Co. man faces prison time
[DI] - A 45-y/o Milton man who had faced an attempted murder charge in a 2012 stabbing of an 18-year-old New Columbia man was sentenced in Union County Court on Thursday to six to 12 years in prison. William Bardole pleaded guilty to one felony count of aggravated assault in the November 2012 attack on Michael Sharpnack, now 20, of New Kensington. Bardole attacked Sharpnack with a 16-inch dagger concealed in a walking stick. President Judge Michael Sholley accepted Bardoleâs plea agreement. He will be eligible for parole after serving six years. Bardole was given credit for time served, 502 days, since his arrest Nov. 4, 2012. He was in jail on straight bail set at $50,000.
