03 - 26 - 2014 Sexting charges filed against 8 So. Huntingdon boys
[CDT] - State police have cited 8 teenage boys for harassment for allegedly sending sexually explicit cellphone pictures of themselves to 8 girls at Southern Huntingdon County High School, in hopes the girls would reciprocate with nude pictures of themselves. Instead, administrators heard about the incidents and called authorities. Police on Monday said the boys used the social media application Snapchat, which deletes the photos from phones moments after they're sent. Experts are still able to retrieve the images later, however â a lesson the boys learned too late. The boys involved were 13 - 15 years old and are not being identified because of their ages.
