04 - 01 - 2014 Juniata Terrace fire victims begin receiving relief funds
[LS] - In less than a week, some of the victims of the devastating fire in Juniata Terrace are being provided relief funds from the United Way of Mifflin-Juniata. In a press release yesterday, the agency said that the first round of checks to each household affected were issued from funds collected from the community. Already, over $8,200 has been given toward the effort just over the past weekend. Donations are still being collected & checks will continue to be issued weekly as long as contributions are made to the fund. Info on how to help is found on our webpage & is updated as new information is provided. Fire victims can collect their checks between 8am-4pm, Monday-Friday, at the United Way on E.
