04 - 24 - 2014 Snyder Co. man sentenced for fatal stabbing of his grandmother
[DI] - Wednesday in Snyder Co. court, 28-y/o Joshua Snook was sentenced to 20-60 years in state prison for fatally stabbing his grandmother and assaulting his grandfather in their Beaver Twp. home. Before sentencing, several relatives met privately with defense attorneys who read to them Snook’s description of what happened that February morning in 2013. Snook allowed his co-defense attorney to read a statement on his behalf as eight family members, including his grandfather, Dale Snook, listened. The statement described Snook as being “devastated” by his actions. He wrote, “In the past year I have thought about this over and over. I don’t understand how this happened.”
