05 - 01 - 2014 School bus stops on angle near embankment after wide turn
[DI] - The bus ride home from school got a little tense Wednesday afternoon when 22 students from the Selinsgrove Area School District children to scurry safely out the back door after their bus veered off the road & stopped on an angle along an embankment. Selinsgrove police said bus driver was making a left turn when she veered off onto the grassy embankment. The vehicle, which was not damaged, came to a stop at a 25-30-degree angle. The driver, who had to be coaxed out of the bus, said she expressed concern about her knees. The Deputy Police Chief said the incident demonstrates the importance of regular bus drills.
